A Place for Everything

There’s something so satisfying about an organized space. Is your home organized? And do you have a place for everything? Are your things easily accessible? If not, it’s time to consider organizing your home by cleaning out your closets and creating better systems for storage.

Closet Systems

Do you love storing everything away in its rightful place? In that case, a closet system is a perfect way to keep your clothing, shoes, and handbags organized—having a location to see your clothing helps you get dressed in the morning, where you can see all your clothing choices on view organized in one place.

Kitchen Organization

In the kitchen, it’s best to go one cabinet at a time and clean out unwanted dishes, platters, utensils, pots, and pans. Then, create a theme for each cabinet, i.e., plates, glasses, cookware, etc. This way, you know what is stored in each cabinet before you open it looking for a coffee cup. Also, it is best to locate your spices and herbs where you will be using them most. So I love a kitchen having a spice pull-out cabinet draw right near the cooktop.

Garages with Everything in its Place

Most people will cringe when asked about their garage. But, unfortunately, it can become a dumping ground for the extras in life when you think about all the storage for the holiday decor, bicycles, and tools.

Suppose you follow the same principles as in the kitchen, organized by the purpose of the task for an item stored. For example, in a garage, store tape in one drawer, hand garden tools in another, and all the painting tools in another. This way, you know which drawer to use when looking for packing tape.
