Interior Design in Paris

If you are lucky, you can travel to Paris once in your lifetime. Sandra Asdourian Interiors had an opportunity to visit the city of lights in September. Paris was in full swing with fashion and interior design events.

Paris’s architecture and history are such an inspiration for interior design. You see national historic artwork and design mixed with contemporary interior design in showrooms, shops, and hotel lobbies.

Color, texture, and balance are the key takeaways from our trip to France. Visiting the international trade show Maison & Objet was a highlight of our tour.

Design and Color from Paris

At the Maison & Objet show, the trend was towards contemporary, organic, biophilic, and colorful designs. Our homes have become essential for our comfort and family time. Also, entertaining at home has become a focus for many people. The design trends show the best ways of incorporating color and happiness into your home.

Fashion, Artwork, and History

We visited the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Paris. The Museum was the premises of his former haute couture house. We saw some of his designs and original sketches. As a former Fashion Model, I loved that I could “walk the runway” in his studio!

Visiting the Rodin Museum, The Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, and many churches with stunning stained glass windows was incredible.

I hope you have found some inspiration from this blog about our travels to Paris and that it has inspired you to think about design and color differently.

Are you thinking about starting a new design project?
