What’s Trending In Interior Design
As Interior Designers, our team must stay on top of the design trends and color forecasts. Interior design can be classic and timeless, but there are style trends, and as a result, interiors evolve. It's like wearing the same clothing styles from high school; you wouldn't. So, what's trending in Interior Design?
Restful Colors in Medium-Tones
Biophilic Design is here to stay; we find comfort and peacefulness in nature. You will be seeing more green, medium-tone blues, lavender, and clay. Colors of nature and the natural world are at the forefront of interiors. Neutral fabric colors without dyes are also trending. Also essential to note; color forecasters are seeing chocolate, wheat, sienna, and brown.
Layers of Texture
The most significant trend we see is layers of texture in fabrics, accessories, and lighting. With these past few years of staying home, people are craving comfort. So when you sit down in a chair, the fabric should be luxurious and textural. Think of velvet, corduroy, boucle, and leather. Accessories in primitive shapes and textures. Lighting in LED natural forms.
Wood and Metal Trends
The woods we see are ash and pine ( making a comeback) sourced from South America. Blackwood, burlwood, wicker, and rattan. You see less of farmhouse woods. For metal; black metal with a gold-matte finish.
