Sandra Asdourian Interiors was brought in to give this Laurel Hollow Estate a much-needed refresh to the main level of the home. The Laurel Hollow NY home was custom build by the current homeowners in 1995. It was also professionally decorated in 1995, beautifully but now very dated. The plan was to add a mix of transitional designs with a nod to traditional. We were inspired to create a perfect balance with some European flair.
With the Living Room’s high ceiling and expansive views from every window of Cold Spring Harbor. A Laurel Hollow Estate was Redesigned. The inspiration for this room was the water. The mix of the cool and warm tones you see in the view. The homeowner said, “it’s like you took the colors of the water and brought it inside”. In other words, the color palette was created using soothing tones that complimented the harbor views. We added architectural moldings to create a feeling of a Parisian apartment.
Family Room in a Laurel Hollow Estate
The family needed a space to relax and unwind after a busy day. We created a comfortable, neutral color palette. Also, we added a lot of texture by way of the pillows, rugs, and accessories. The game table area is a wonderful space. For instance, to enjoy an afternoon snack or play games.
The clients entertain often and have a large family. The formal dining room required an update. Therefore, we added a new crystal chandelier, custom drapery, and custom area rug.
The kitchen was redesigned with new flooring, island, and gorgeous Taj Mahal Quartzite. New lighting and furniture were added. New life for the china cabinet with sage chalk paint, by artist Debbie Viola.
A gentleman’s retreat after a long day. The fire, a cigar and a nice drink, neat. Perfection!
