Couples blending their design styles need to look over everything you have, the sofa, tables, bedroom furniture, art work, area rugs, décor etc. pick out your favorites.  Use the art work or area rugs for inspiration.

Now the hard part edit-out the things that you hate.  Look at what needs repair or just does not work with your favorite pieces. Similarly, couples blending their design styles  should think about adding a few new pieces that you picked out together, like a table or sofa, an area rug or art work.
